Yolanda Johnson is the founder of Family Matters Partnership, INC. She believes in partnering with cities and families to provide extensive case management and consulting services. She has several years of experience in social services.
Over the last 19 years, Yolanda's desire to have an impact on the family unit intensified through her own experience, the non-profit, school system, and city government sectors. Seeing how programs in the organizations she worked for were structured and the limited impact she could make impressed upon her ability to venture outside of the structure that limited families' ability to be impacted and thrive. Her desire to see true change within the family unit birth her organization.
As a certified Bridges Out of Poverty Trainer, she have several years of experience in human services, non-profit sectors, and city, state, and federal government entities and has invested many years of service to families throughout many cities.
Yolanda is an active member of many political organizations. She has advocated for socioeconomic policy change on the local and state level. Her resume consists of several hours of training in Program and Fiscal Leadership, Procurement, Diversification of Funding, Internal Control and Human Resources. She attended the Leadership Institute and successfully graduated from the Candidate Policy Workshop. Yolanda has several PhD coursework hours as she pursued a degree in Philosophy of Leadership. She completed her Master's degree from Tennessee Temple University and an undergraduate degree from Jackson State University. She completed her certification as a Community Health Worker from Morehouse School of Medicine in hopes of serving the community better when it comes to health education. She completed a ten week Citizen Police Academy hoping to gain a better understanding of policing and how to help support local law enforcement. In addition to this completion, she has become a certified Crisis Intervention Coordinator as well as gained a Mental Health First Aid certification.
With her background in human services, education, and several years of ministerial experience, she has been encouraged to make a major impact on the family unit through her founded organization. She has partnered with many organizations, municipal and non-profit to help assess their social services process to enhance a better quality of life for families and individuals.
Yolanda believes that the family unit is the foundational institution of society ordained by God and is the driving force to a thriving economy.
"When families are doing well, our cities, states, schools, and country do well."
